Navigating the console

Where things are in the datagab console, and how to move around quickly.

The side panel

The side panel on the left lists the main areas of the console:

  • Dashboards: your start page, the list of dashboards and the ready-made ones.
  • Security: SIEM, SOC, Cloud and Code.
  • Automation: Emma, Workflows, Catalog and Forms.
  • Observability: Data, Pipelines, Logs and Compliance.
  • Infra: Cloud Cost, AI Cost, Private Cloud VM and Private AI Gateway.

Desktop and Workplace

A switch at the top of the side panel moves between the console (Desktop) and Workplace, where people and Emma work together in projects.

The name menu

Click your name at the bottom of the side panel to open Integrations, Settings and your own Emma settings. Organization settings for users, roles, API keys and the audit trail are under Settings.

Press Ctrl + K (or ⌘ + K on a Mac) anywhere in the console to search pages, signals, cases, detection rules, workflows, incidents and dashboards. Use the arrow keys to move and Enter to open.

Your start dashboard

The console opens on Dashboards. Each person can pick their own start dashboard, either one of the ready-made dashboards or one they built themselves.
